Patricia Williams

PA to Steven Petty

I was born and educated in Nottingham and moved to Coventry in the mid-70’s.  I have worked in the legal profession as secretarial support/assistance for most of my working life, with a short break to have two children, who are now grown-up and I have one grandson and two granddogs!!

I had worked for the same local firm of solicitors for many years dealing with a variety of work before specialising in conveyancing, both residential and commercial. When the firm decided to merge with a bigger firm and closed the Coventry office I decided to leave and joined a new firm, Feldon Dunsmore, who were just starting out and have thoroughly enjoyed seeing the progress made over its early years.

I like to keep active and fit and used to play a lot of sports at school. I took up Badminton in my late 20’s and played to a high level in the local Coventry and Warwickshire league but had to gracefully retire due to a foot operation. I have since done a variety of exercise classes eg. gym work, Zumba, hoola-hoop and have recently started Salsa classes.

I never had a favourite teddy bear when I was younger, only dolls, so when I had my first Steiff teddy bear as a gift this started a rollercoaster. As collectable teddy bears can be very expensive, as I had always done a lot of dressmaking I decided to have a go at making them.  After a few false starts I did get better, and even roped in my husband to help with the joints, and have now made approximately 40 bears to-date.  I donated one to a charity auction and this raised £250.

I have a love of all things Greek and love holidaying in the Greek Islands every year and latterly exploring the mainland which has a lot to offer.

If I won the lottery I would love to travel the world in luxury and also set up a Foundation for charitable causes and travel to promote this.

One word my colleagues would use to describe me is…

Industrious

My superhero would be…

James Bond

The soundtrack to my life is…

Mamma Mia – here we go again
