Selina Shahid

Trainee Solicitor

My academic journey of law began at Sixth Form, where I achieved an A* in A-level Law, this confirmed that law was a perfect match for me.

I continued my studies at the University of Birmingham, where I obtained my LLB degree.

In 2016, I went on to study my Masters and LPC at the University of Law on the weekend course, alongside working and gaining legal experience.

Previously, I worked in an estate agency role which has given me a unique insight into the property sector, it has allowed me to see the perspective of agents in maintaining strong working relations, as well as the legal role. Working cohesively with others is a strong point of mine.

In September 2018, I started my training contract at Feldon Dunsmore. The specialist commercial property nature of the firm appealed to my interests, as well as the experience of the Partners. I look forward to what the future here holds.

My most memorable achievement, outside of law, would be volunteering over summer in Indonesia teaching English to underprivileged children. It made me appreciate the value of language and the importance of education helping to better their lives. I enjoy being involved in outreach and charity projects.

One word my colleagues would use to describe me is…

Team-worker (Team work makes the dream work as they say).

If I was a flower, I would be…

A sunflower because they have a warm, positive energy.

My superhero power would be…

Teleporting! You could be at any place in an instant moment. No more waiting on the post either, just teleport and collect (bonus).

If I won the lottery I would…

Buy a scratch map and travel the world!
