Earlier this month Mia K, Maisie and I had the pleasure of attending the Law Fair at the University of Warwick, where we had the opportunity to speak with over one hundred enthusiastic students aspiring to be the next generation of legal professionals, all eager to explore various paths within the legal sector. The students were fully engaged and came prepared with thoughtful questions. It was a pleasure to hear about their achievements, experiences and aspirations.

We handed out branded reusable water bottles, coasters and sticky pads, all designed to make a lasting impression while promoting sustainability. And, of course, the star of our giveaways was the ever-popular cacti! These little plants were not only a fun conversation starter, but they also symbolise resilience and growth - qualities which we encourage every aspiring lawyer to embody throughout their career journey.

We shared our personal experiences and career paths with students, illustrating the diverse routes one can take towards becoming a solicitor, and highlighted the exciting opportunities at Feldon Dunsmore, including our summer vacation scheme. If you're interested in learning more about current opportunities, please check out the ‘Join Us’ page of our website for further details!

Looking ahead, we’re excited to be hosting an insight day for top-performing property law students from the University of Warwick in November. The event will give attendees invaluable first-hand experience of life as a commercial property lawyer at a niche firm, providing practical insights that go beyond the classroom.

We are also looking forward to attending various other outreach events scheduled over the 2025-26 academic year, including a careers talk at King’s High School, Mock Interview Morning at Bablake School and Post-18 Evening at Stratford Girls’ Grammar School.

Collaborating with academic institutions such as the University of Warwick and Warwick Law School as well as local schools enables us to connect with the next generation of legal minds and help bridge the gap between studying at school/university and working in a law firm. It is such a rewarding experience and privilege to help shape the bright futures of early talent (despite making me feel incredibly old after realising Apple have released 14 generations of iPhone since I was at a similar stage of my career journey!)

Stay tuned for more updates!
