Springing Forward: Talent, Growth & Opportunities at Feldon Dunsmore

Now Spring seems to have finally sprung, the weather is one less thing to moan about: Moan-focus seems to have shifted to how quickly 2025 is passing by. I confess I am convinced time moves more and more quickly with every year that passes. Somehow we are already into March 2025, and reflecting on what has been a very busy period for Early Talent.

Team FD have attended numerous school and university outreach events in the local area over the past couple of months, interacting with hundreds of inspirational students across various schools and colleges from Year 7 all the way through to university graduates. We have another four careers events lined up over the next couple of weeks and are looking forward to speaking with more students, sharing information about careers in law and our own personal experiences.

We received a record-number of applications for our Spring work experience and vacation schemes, which we have now reviewed, and have been delighted to offer placements to five successful applicants who will be joining us over the coming months. Their placements will involve exposure to the team’s current workload and daily activities, giving them real experience of what it’s like to work in a niche commercial property law firm like Feldon Dunsmore.

Existing members of the FD Early Talent team are working extremely hard with our partners and legal director, providing an excellent level of service to our clients and contributing immensely to the success of the business. Their progression to the next stages of their formal training and development, enabling fulfilment of their aspirations and realisation of their full potential, is testament to their hard work and dedication.

We are excited to be expanding our Early Talent team and are currently recruiting graduate paralegals. Working alongside our partners, solicitors and existing Early Talent team members, successful candidates will be ambitious, driven and involved in a wide range of tasks crucial to the progression of our commercial property transactions. Amidst the busyness of the past few months, the team have squeezed in celebrations for National Croissant Day, Pancake Day, team members’ birthdays, quiz nights and are about to try their hand at Padel in the next team social.

In a world where time moves quickly and you never know what might speed around the corner, I am grateful and proud to work alongside such a brilliant group of young people within such a supportive team that continues to thrive and grow.
