Amanpreet Dosanjh

Trainee Solicitor

I was born and raised in the Black Country but I do not seem to have kept the strong accent, which could have something to do with the fact I have gravitated towards Coventry over the last 7 years.

I completed A-levels in Law, History and English Language and Literature during college. Having enjoyed and done particularly well in Law, I went onto do a Law degree at Coventry University. At University I completed a number of modules and carried out voluntary work experience in different areas of Law during my free time. I did this to not only gain practical experience but help me decide what area of Law I wanted to specialise in.

After working for a year in a personal injury firm, I decided to become a solicitor and went onto complete the LPC full-time at the University of Law where I passed with a Distinction. I picked commercial electives and decided to then focus on gaining commercial property experience.

This started with drafting and negotiating wayleaves on a daily basis before being lucky enough to secure a training contract at Feldon Dunsmore Solicitors in July 2018 where I now deal with all aspects of commercial property law. These matters have ranged from contracts for large developments sites to leases acting for either landlord or tenant.

Outside of work I enjoy traveling and experiencing different cultures. I have a bucket list of places I would like to visit. My most memorable trip to date has to be my road trip to Canada and down the west coast of America.

I am a big foodie and enjoy trying different restaurants (it is possible that there isn’t a restaurant in Birmingham where I have not eaten out). When I am at home you can find me reading (my bookshelf is pretty impressive if I do say so myself) and baking when I have a free Sunday afternoon.
