Apprenticeship Scheme

Paralegal Apprenticeships starting in September 2026!

As a paralegal apprentice you will have the opportunity to put the theoretical knowledge and skills learnt on your dedicated study day each week into practice immediately by spending the other four days of the week working on real-life transactions with our team in the office. Your workload will be varied: At the start of your apprenticeship it will typically involve administrative tasks and as you progress through the apprenticeship you will be trusted to take on more responsibility, undertaking tasks gradually increasing in complexity commensurate with your knowledge and experience including document management, drafting, legal research, writing reports, making HM Land Registry applications, contacting clients and other stakeholders, whilst always being closely supervised and supported by our team.

Theoretical teaching during the apprenticeship is delivered online by our apprenticeship training partner Damar Training and includes access to a dedicated coach and also an online forum to interact with other apprentices outside of Feldon Dunsmore, in addition to the support offered internally by our Head of Early Talent, partners, fellow apprentices and rest of the team.

What is the end goal?

On successful completion of the Solicitor Apprenticeship, having passed the SQE you will become a fully qualified commercial property solicitor, being equal status to those who have progressed via the degree, SQE and 2-year Qualifying Work Experience route.

How long does it take?

After successfully completing the Level 3 Paralegal Apprenticeship, you will have the opportunity to progress to a Level 7 Solicitor Apprenticeship. The Paralegal Apprenticeship will be delivered over 24 months and the Solicitor Apprenticeship over 35 months.

Contrary to popular belief, at a total of just under 5 years this apprenticeship route takes no longer time than the ‘traditional’ route of obtaining a degree and undertaking the SQE during 2 years of Qualifying Work Experience, all whilst earning and not incurring student debt in the process!

What are the benefits?

All training costs and exam fees are covered, in addition to your salary, enabling you to earn while you learn without all the student debt typically incurred going to University. We also offer a competitive employee benefits package.

You will receive comprehensive practical training and support and gain transactional experience alongside your theoretical learning from Day One, enabling you to develop practical skills which can be difficult to obtain at University.

You will be part of a lively team and benefit from invaluable support from fellow apprentices, partners, our dedicated Head of Early Talent and the wider team (including our D.O.G.S.!).

It’s the perfect balance of studying theoretical knowledge and gaining practical experience in a real-life setting, building your practical experience and expertise from your first day, all while receiving a salary, having training and qualification funded and being part of the skilled and friendly Early Talent Team at Feldon Dunsmore.
