Work Experience

We offer Years 12 and 13 students who are interested in a career in law the opportunity to shadow our specialist lawyers on active deals during a 3-day placement. The placement will give participants a flavour of life as a lawyer in a niche practice and the opportunity to discuss various education and career pathways which our team have taken. We typically run placements twice a year.

In 2025, we will be offering 3-day placements in the Spring (March-May) and Summer (July-September) 2025.

Who we are looking for

Successful candidates will be able to demonstrate the following key qualities:

• Good academic record;
• Team player;
• Desire to go Above and Beyond
• Enthusiastic and proactive;
• Commercially minded; and
• Excellent communication skills.

We also look out for prospective paralegals, apprentices and trainees so if you impress, it could be the start of an exciting career!

The cover letter should be no more than one A4 side and cover the following:

• Why do you want to be a solicitor?
• What attracts you to Feldon Dunsmore Solicitors and/or commercial property law?
• What are the key skills, experiences and attributes that make you well suited to a career in commercial property law

If you are successful at the application stage, we may ask you participate in a short informal interview and aptitude test.

The closing date for our Spring scheme is Friday 31st January 2025, and closing date for our Summer scheme is Friday 30th May 2025.
