Originally from Stafford, I have gradually moved across the country from Shropshire to Cheshire, Warwick and now to Suffolk.
I qualified as a Solicitor specialising in commercial property in December 2017. In July 2023, I took a step back from fee-earning work to focus on the training and development of our remarkable existing early talent, recruitment of new early talent and provision of professional support to the whole team.
I love the variety of my role. From group training sessions to drafting precedents to interviewing vacation scheme applicants: No two days are ever the same for me. Owing to personal commitments I predominantly work remotely from my current home on the East Coast, but very much enjoy visiting the office in Warwick on a regular basis, particularly if the D.O.G.S. are around!
I am an avid fan of the television series Grand Designs and was once so star-struck meeting Kevin McCloud at Grand Designs Live London that I couldn’t remember my own name. I have seen Kevin on numerous occasions since, but thankfully he hasn’t mentioned it.
Outside of work when time allows I can usually be found outdoors walking and exploring. I love travelling off the beaten track and discovering new places beyond the tourist guides, particularly if there’s a local pub lunch involved. I have road-tripped both islands of New Zealand and have also travelled across Ireland, Scotland and the Isle of Skye.
Being part of a musical family, in the colder weather I enjoy playing my keyboard, saxophone and ‘cello. I also enjoy cooking (especially the challenge of making popular dishes vegetarian or vegan), reading and watching crime dramas, but not all at the same time!
