I was born in Leamington Spa and come from a family of farmers in Hatton. Spending my weekends and holidays at my grandparents’ cottage, always being involved with my grandad’s sheep, chickens, pet rabbits and his devoted sheep dog and gun dog. My nan gave me a love for cooking and baking and there were always the most delicious cakes when we stayed there. We had rabbits and guinea pigs of our own and an adorable Jack Russell called Hannah.
As a result of my upbringing, I began my career in animal management. However, having regularly worked in the local pub, I moved into hospitality, managing a gastro pub/restaurant for 16 years, before transitioning to an office environment, offering more sociable working hours. I really enjoy utilising my customer service skills, making a difference to the team and always trying to help others.
I have a passion for exotic pets and currently have a bearded dragon called Queenie and three Guinea Pigs. I have previously owned a bearded dragon and a chameleon, both long gone over the rainbow.
