It has been a tough few weeks here at Feldon Dunsmore, first with the heart-breaking news of the passing of our dear Harvey, and then the retirement of Patricia Williams.

All of their knowledge over the years has been invaluable and I know I am speaking on behalf of the firm when we say you’ve never met anybody as dedicated to the firm as them.

Following this news, we have been flooded with kind messages for Harvey, the main theme being of course that he was a one-of-a-kind man. It rare that you get to meet a man who is so wonderful, let alone work alongside him and gain his support and guidance. There are so many people who can proudly say that not only are they a better lawyer because of him, but they are a better person.

Pat has been the rock of Feldon Dunsmore for 10 years now and has been with the firm almost from the very start of the business and was one of the ‘Gang of Four’ who operated out of a tiny office in its first year of trading. From the moment I met Pat she was an unforgettable force, she knew exactly what to do in every situation and was always someone who could be relied upon to impart her knowledge.

I know that everyone is sad to see Pat go, she will be greatly missed. It will truly be the end of an era.

As we move on to our next chapter as a firm, we are delighted that our firm has become a three partner firm with the announcement that our very own Sophie Read has joined the management team as a Partner. From her first days of work experience as a graduate from Warwick University, to now, Sophie has been an asset and we are all confident that she will continue to thrive in her new role.

We have also welcomed three new Paralegals into our cohort, Matt, Mia and Simran. They have all joined the firm into our graduate paralegal role. For the veteran paralegals here, it has been a welcoming change to be able to pass on our skills and nurture them in their new roles.
