Instagram is one of the top social media platforms of today with 1 billion monthly active users. It is used globally to share pictures and videos of just about anything within the community guidelines. Individuals can share memories, follow friends, post selfies and discover new hobbies or ‘life hacks.’

Over recent years, Instagram has been used as a marketing tool by businesses. We have seen a rise in ‘Influencers’ promoting anything from clothing and health products to lavish holidays and Virtual Private Networks (VPNs). Instagram has enabled smaller companies to advertise their product in a way that may not have been possible before, and for free! It also encourages businesses to be creative with their advertising as the platform is largely visual. The sheer number of monthly users means that businesses’ profiles can reach all parts of the world.

Lawyers and Law Firms have also taken advantage of the opportunities that Instagram can provide. Where LinkedIn was once the central hub for professional networking, firms have realised the benefits of Instagram for building their brand, connecting with clients both previous and prospective and engaging with the wider legal community. Additionally, as Instagram is often used by the younger generation, it is great for recruiting new staff and advertising vacation schemes to students and graduates.

We are pleased to announce that Feldon Dunsmore has decided to join Instagram! We are looking forward to providing our clients’ and network a further, more personal insight into the firm. We will be sharing pictures taken by our staff, updates on our charity fundraising and social events throughout the year as well as posting any recruitment or work experience opportunities and much more!
