This National Careers Week we are reflecting on the various events at local schools we have recently attended and our dedication to training and development early talent.

As a firm we are proud to have a strong commitment to training and development of early talent at every stage of their career - prior, during and/or following formal training to become a qualified solicitor, legal executive or paralegal. Our friendly team are supportive and our ethos and small size of the firm enables constant interaction with our experienced partners, legal directors and solicitors who pass down the benefit of their wealth of experience to the early talent team on a daily basis (such interaction isn’t always possible in larger firms).

The team is very passionate about what we do, so it has been great to have the opportunity to attend careers fairs and talks to discuss with students and their parents/carers what life is like as a lawyer, the different areas of law, different types of law firm, the various routes into the profession and also the opportunities we have available for work experience and recruitment.

It has been a privilege and pleasure to speak to hundreds of students and parents/carers, hearing about students’ achievements and future aspirations, answering their questions, sharing the opportunities available at Feldon Dunsmore Solicitors and busting a few myths about being a lawyer along the way!

We are excited to be welcoming three sixth form students into the firm for a 3-day work experience placement and two University students for a 5-day vacation scheme over the Spring (applications for our Summer work experience and vacation schemes are open if you missed out on applying for our Spring scheme – details available on our website).

We are also looking forward to recruiting sixth form leavers onto our apprenticeship scheme later this year – applications for our apprenticeship are open and will close on 12th July 2024. Details of the scheme and how to apply can be found on our website, please do get in touch if you have any questions.

Many thanks to King Edward VI School, King’s High School, Bablake School, Kineton High School, Myton School, Stratford Girls’ Grammar School for inviting us to your events over the past few weeks.

And Alcester Grammar School, Southam College and Stratford-upon-Avon School, we will see you soon over the next few weeks!
